Arizona is a direct access state meaning we do not need a doctor’s order to provide physical therapy services. However, your insurance company may require one to reimburse for services. Please check with your insurance company to see if this is required if you plan to submit for reimbursement. Medicare B patients will need an established provider to sign our physical therapy plan of care.
Home health physical therapy is billed under Medicare Part A and typically patient’s need to be home bound. Mobile outpatient physical therapy is billed under Medicare Part B and do not have to be homebound. Also, as an outpatient provider, we are open to seeing patients for a longer period if medically necessary.
It is possible to supplement your Part A visits on a cash pay basis. You cannot utilize Medicare Part A and Part B at the same time. Please contact us for more information.
Solitude Physical Therapy and Wellness, LLC is an enrolled Medicare Part B provider.
For all other insurances we are out of network. This means that payment is due at the time services are rendered and we will not bill your insurance company. Please contact us for pricing. For out of network insurances, we are able to provide documentation you may submit to your insurance to reimburse you for our services (plan dependent).
For those with insurances other than Medicare Part B, click here for a list of questions to ask your insurance customer representative about your out of network benefits.
Medicare B covers medically necessary services. Not sure if you need medically necessary services? Contact us for more information.
Please note Medicare does not cover some services such as dry needling, cupping, and targeted vibration therapy. These services can be provided for an additional fee.

Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes, so that instead of just surviving, you’re thriving.
An initial evaluation is considered your first visit as a patient of our clinic. The initial evaluation is a more detailed visit with your physical therapist to determine a plan of care to best treat your condition. Often this includes a conversation about your condition, health history and goals. These visits often include stretches and exercises. Following your initial evaluation, you will work with us to schedule your next visits to help you get back to doing life better.
You can expect to be talking with your physical therapist about your overall health, the specific condition you are being seen for, your home or work environment, your health habits and activity level and your leisure and recreational interests. Your physical therapist will complete an examination, which might include evaluating your strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and posture. Your physical therapist wants to help you to be as active and independent as possible. Together, you and your physical therapist will determine goals for your physical therapy.
This depends on your individual needs. You and your physical therapist will develop a treatment plan together to help you achieve your goals.
Physical therapy, for some conditions, has been found to be as effective as surgery. Consider physical therapy before undergoing expensive and invasive surgeries.
Physical therapists’ end goal is for patients to get to the point where you can maintain your strength, balance, and manage your pain on your own. In order to do that, they will push you beyond your comfort zone a little bit. Physical therapists will encourage you to go beyond what you think you can do to help you get back to being independent. Most people only go to therapy a few times each week. Stretching and strengthening exercises need to be done almost daily to get the improvement you need. And yes, physical therapists can tell if someone is doing their home exercises or not!
